How to Seal Your Blate Papes Pouches

Here we show how you can pre-seal your edible film pouches. Why would you want to do this? Two reasons:

  1. This is the first step when taking dense, water-soluble powders (that sink in water) with edible films
  2. You can seal your pouches to take with you or save them for later
Tips:
  • Always let the seal dry completely before storing pouches in an airtight container. If the seal is still damp, pouches can stick together and may tear when separated. For best results, seal each pouch and lay it flat on a tray (such as a cookie sheet) for at least 5 minutes before transferring to a container.
  • When taking them with you for the day, use a small, hard container, such as a Tupperware or even an old Blate Papes container. It’s important that the container is snug enough so the Blate Papes don’t have a ton of extra room, while still protecting them from being squished or poked inside your bag.
